The conversation continues. A curious 21 year old trans identified male has been sending me messages for a while now. He has bravely given me permission to respond publicly to his messages while preserving his anonymity.
This series has proven to be incredibly powerful. He continues to share with me that my questions to him and my responses to his questions challenge his way of thinking about himself and what he believes “trans” means.
I find it powerful that he wants to be challenged. He wants to think more deeply. He wants to understand himself beyond trite mantras, platitudes, and “affirmation-only” style advice.
